KT announced that it has signed a framework agreement with China Mobile and DoCoMo on January 18, 2011 in Beijing for business tie-up, according to the Korea Times. It is reported that the three companies will cooperate on roaming services, service development for multinational corporations, joint research, and joint Smartphones development. An unlimited data roaming plan is scheduled to be launched in Korea, China, and Japan by KT in March 2011. It is projected that KT also plans to set up a Free Roaming Area, enabling subscribers to access wireless Internet in Korea, China, and Japan, using the 100,000 Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) zones of KT, China Mobile, and DoCoMo.
